Lapsit Storytime is for babies and toddlers with an adult.  Songs, finger play, simple stories, rhythm sticks/shakers and group play.

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.:   Feb 27; March 6, 13, 20; April 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1, 7*, 15.

*Meets on Wednesday, May 7 (due to Senior Health Fair on May 8)

 

Messy Mornings for Munchkins ages 2 and up with an adult.  Have lots of messy fun in this very hands-on program!  Each week will feature a different creative tactile experience.

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.:  Feb 25; March 4, 11**, 18; April 1, 8**, 15, 22, 29; May 6, 13**. 

**  Principle Dance Studio Creative Movement class

After-school Book + Film + Snack Club for 1st grade and up.  We’ll read a short book together, watch the film version (while snacking) and discuss.  Future film critics welcome!

MarchMarch 1 to April 26:  Poetry and Art Contest for ages 2 through 18.

Express yourself on the theme of “Nature” on one 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper.  Turn in your entries to the YS Help Desk (lower level).  Your work will be displayed in the lower level foyer…and you just may win a prize!  An On the Same Page:  Reading Communities and Nature program.

Saturday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m.:  Craft Club for 3rd grade and up (2nd graders may attend WITH an adult.)  Learn new craft techniques with each fun project.  All materials provided.

 

Thursday, March 13 at 3:45 p.m.: Thrilling Thursdays for 2nd grade and up.  (Kindergarten and 1st graders may attend WITH an adult.)  Come prepared to build, create, explore and more!  This month’s creative challenge will be based on Regarding the Bees by Kate Klise.  An On the Same Page:  Reading Communities and Nature program.

Saturday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m.:  LEGOs Build-It Club for 2nd grade and up.  Use the library’s LEGOs to create something unique.  New theme each month.

Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m.:  Creating Butterfly Gardens for adults, teens and kids grade 4 and up.  Presented by butterfly garden expert Stephanie Walquist and sponsored by the North Riverside Garden Club.  An On the Same Page:  Reading Communities and Nature program.
