Wednesday Movie Matinee

Come to the library at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 1 to see Million Dollar Arm, which tells the story of sports agent J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) trying to save his business by staging a “Million Dollar Arm” competition in Mumbai. While the two boys J.B. brings back to the U.S. learn the game of baseball, they also teach him the meaning of teamwork and commitment, and J.B. finds a family. This film is based on the book by J.B. Bernstein, and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

Job Search Workshop ------ Networking and Interviewing

Are you struggling with staying motivated in your job search? Are you having a hard time finding jobs on the Internet? Come to the library from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Saturday, April 4 to learn how to run a successful job search, including networking and interviewing, from Paula Giovacchini, President of Gio Group, Inc., which specializes in business and leadership development training. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

Lady T. and Her Jazz Trio

Come to the library at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 8 to listen to popular vocalist and North Riverside resident Lady T. (Toscanellie Marcelain) and her Jazz Trio perform jazz standards, including songs from Lady T.’s two CDs. The Jazz Trio consists of Jim Pierce on guitar; Dan Delorenzo on bass; and Andre Beasley on drums. This program is presented in honor of National Jazz Appreciation Month.
