The Skeleton Scene: Bones On Stage!
For ages 8 and up. Bring your imagination, because YOU are the producer. You’ll create a humorous Halloween “stage scene” featuring Bones, the frightfully amusing skeleton. No bones about it, you’ll have a shockingly hilarious time with Kathleen Obirek, floral designer and educator. All materials provided; * limited to 20 – priority given to North Riverside residents.

Teen Read Week October 12 – 18: Turn Dreams Into Reality!

Residents ages 12 – 18 who check out a book can enter our drawing for new paperbacks (provided by the Friends of the North Riverside Public Library). Winners will be notified by October 27.

Paint Your Pumpkin!
For kids age 5 to 10; under 7 must have an adult with them. Pumpkins, paint and other decorating supplies provided. *Limited space – priority given to North Riverside residents.

Familiar Spirits: Tales of Murder, Mystery and the Macabre
For grade 6 and up. It’s chills, thrills and goosebumps time! William Pack presents an evening of supernatural, interactive theater with spine-tingling horror stories, eerie local history, and inexplicable supernatural occurrences. When the lights go out, William will have you believing in ghosts! Presented in partnership with our Adult Services Department.

Kidzmagic by Andrew and a Visit from Santa
What’s so funny about magic? Kidzmagic! You’ll be entertained and amused by CoCo Puffs and Bubbles as you participate in this magical performance. After the show, let Santa know what’s on your list! (Parents: photo-op alert!)

BBC Hollydays Gingerbread House Craft
Make a delicious and unique holiday centerpiece! All materials and instruction provided.
Cash or check deposit (per house) is required at registration – register in person at the YS Help Desk ONLY. Residents: $15 (library pays $20); non-residents: $35 (full price). Registration deadline is MONDAY, DECEMBER 8. BBC Hollydays requires children ages 6 to 11 to partner with an adult (age 18 or older), and children under 6 may not attend. Limit of two people per house.
Saturday, Dec 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

RBHS Finals Week Study & Snack
For high school students. Enjoy hot chocolate and snacks while you take a break from studying for finals. In the main floor meeting room, right next to the Young Adult area.
