Pizza & Games Nights

SRP kids in 1st grade (fall) and above.  Play games, munch pizza, have fun!  For 1st grade and older.  Tickets will be distributed starting at 5 p.m. on the event day.  You must have a ticket to attend!

NEW! Family Color-A-Thon

Lots and lots of coloring pages to choose from, ranging from super simple to very complex! Relax, color and snack to music.  Kids under age 7 must be accompanied by an adult. SRP + family members

Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.: June 10; August 12; Friday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m.


“See the Show!  Become the Pro!” presented by Jason Kollum. A comedy juggling show and interactive workshop all in one!  What fun!  SRP + family members.

Design a Structure the Wolf Can’t Blow Down!  presented by the Cook County Farm Bureau.   Learn how agriculture connects to design in this exciting program for future engineers.  We’ll read a story, build a structure, make a craft and enjoy a snack.  SRP in grades 2 through 6.  Sponsored by Seaway Supply Co.

The Big Show:  Building a Totally Interactive Show!  starring Gold Record, Grammy-Nominated, Goof Ball Dave Rudolf!  Build a mummy, travel under a limbo stick, make the greatest human conga chain, have a ball with beach balls and so much more! The Mr. Freeze Cryogenic Show presented by Fermilab.  Thrilling (and chilling!) demonstrations of the fascinating field of Supercooling! Space is limited to 40.  SRP in grades 2 through 8.

Junior Volunteers –  5th grade in Fall 2017

North Riverside residents in 5th grade in Fall 2017:  join the Junior Volunteers! Requirements:  attend a mandatory 20-minute training session to learn the basics of board book cleaning and shelf reading, and volunteer at least one more time during the summer.   Additional opportunities will be offered to trained Junior Volunteers.  See the YS Help Desk for more information and to pick up an application.
