BBC Hollydays Gingerbread House Craft
Make a delicious and unique holiday centerpiece! All materials and instruction provided.
Cash or check payment (per house) is required at registration and must be in person at the YS Help Desk. Residents: $15 (library pays $20); non-residents: $35 (full price).
Registration deadline is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30.
BBC Hollydays requires children ages 6 to 11 to partner with an adult (age 18 or older), and children under 6 may not attend. Limit of two people per house.

Melikin Puppet Theatre & Santa Claus
Melikin Puppet Theatre presents “The Elves and the Shoemaker” and “The Night Before Christmas” – perfect to get in the holiday mood. Don’t miss a chance to visit with Santa Claus after the show! Family Program – All ages welcome – Please register!

RBHS Finals Study & Snacks
For high school students. Enjoy beverages and snacks while you take a break from studying for finals. In the main floor meeting room, right next to the Young Adult area.
Thursday December 17 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday December 20 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Winter Reading Club
For kids in kindergarten and up. Read at least one book each week of this six-week program to earn the completion prize AND an invitation to the Winter Reading Club Pizza Party (date TBA). Limited to North Riverside residents. Registration opens Jan 2, 2016, visit us at the YS Help Desk to register! Program runs Jan 11 to Feb 21.
The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs presents “Gooney Bird Greene and Her True Life Adventures”
Based on the well-loved book, “Gooney Bird Greene” by Lois Lowry. Adventures abound for the students in Gooney Bird’s class as she awakens their imaginations! Family program, all ages welcome. Please register online, in person at the YS Help Desk or call 708-447-0869.

Junior Volunteers – 4th and 5th grade
Junior Volunteers (North Riverside residents in 4th or 5th grade) are welcome! Opportunities include: cleaning board books, checking books for damage, straightening shelves, refreshing shelf-end displays, writing book reviews for the library’s website and more!
