Just how HUGE can you go? Each month will feature a different challenge. For 1st grade and older; kids in kindergarten may attend WITH an adult. You’ll be using the library’s LEGOs to build with, so please DO NOT bring your own!
Fridays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.: March 9; April 13; May 4
For 2nd grade and up; kids in kindergarten or 1st grade may attend WITH an adult. Fun, seasonal crafts for different ages…and cookies!
Fridays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.: March 16; April 20; May 11
For 1st grade and up. Learn the basics of improv comedy through games, skits and more!
Tuesdays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. March 6, 13
Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a party! For 1st grade and up; preschool and kindergarten may attend with an adult.
Friday, March 2 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
North Riverside residents age 3 and older. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family for an hour of classic fun! All ages can play Bingo (with number cards) and Loteria (with picture cards) and win prizes!
Saturdays from 2 to 3 p.m. March 3; April 28
Plump up our paper porcupine by adding your favorite rhyming words! Will he be small, or will he be tall? Will he grow to fill the hall? Stop by the Help Desk to find out!

Junior Volunteers – 4th and 5th grade
North Riverside residents in 4th or 5th grade: join the Junior Volunteers! Requirements: attend a 20-minute training session to learn the basics of board book cleaning and shelf reading, and volunteer at least three times in the next six months. Additional opportunities will be offered to “seasoned” Junior Volunteers.
