Will Dewey Duck learn to fly by the power of books? (Or, will he quack up trying?) Plus — find out what YOUR Super Power is at the Library! SRP + family members

Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. The NUBS Squad Returns! No Unwanted Birds has a new, exciting adventure to share. Guest appearances by feathered friends for the story of “Remy,” whose inspiring tale sheds light on bird rescue and rehabilitation. Certain animals may be handled and petted, while others will demonstrate various behaviors of “tricks.” SRP + family members

Thursday, July 9 at 6:30 p.m. Dave Herzog’s Marionettes presents ZORK! Blasting through outer space to save the cosmos comes Zork! Zork and all his super powered friends will perform death-defying feats of spectacular super powered entertainment in this exciting marionette variety show! SRP + family members

Tuesday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. Magical Balloon Dude, Dale Obrochta. It’s the Art of Inflation! See how a balloon can be magical and fun for the whole family. SRP + family members

Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles. You won’t believe the exotic and intriguing creatures Dave will bring in…and some are even pettable! SRP + family members.

Last Call for Read to Feed Hours! For every Read to Feed Hour turned in, the Friends of the Library will make a donation to the Riverside Township Food Bank!

1000 bks1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

For newborn through age 5. A year-round, ongoing reading program based on research that has shown that the more books children from birth to age 5 have had read to them, the more prepared they will be to learn to read. Upon registration, you’ll receive a simple reading log, a list of recommended books and more. Limited to North Riverside residents.
