KINDLE E-BOOKS ARE HERE
They’re finally here. Kindle eBooks are available at the North Riverside Public Library! With your North Riverside Public Library card, visit our www.mediaondemand.org website to browse, checkout and download titles for your Kindle. Log in at Media on Demand using your library card number (barcode). Your password is your last name. On checkout, you will be directed to sign in at Amazon.com to complete your download. You will need to use your Kindle’s wifi connection to download titles or transfer via a USB cable.
Thanks to a generous donation by the Friends of the Library, the North Riverside Public Library is proud to offer best-selling and classic audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video available 24/7 from the Library’s website, www.northriversidelibrary.org.
Patrons can browse the collection, check out with your library card and download to PC, Mac and many mobile devices. To get started, patrons will need to install free software, OverDrive Media Console for audiobooks and Adobe Digital Editions for eBooks. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod, Sony Reader and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees.
With hundreds of popular fiction and non-fiction titles to choose from, the new collection is guaranteed to have something for everyone. Patrons can download best-selling novels, well-known classics, self-improvement guides and much more.
This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free with your library card.
