Rolling Stone is a fortnightly magazine that focuses on popular culture.
Zinio is a remarkable new service offered to North Riverside Library card holders, where you can download and read your favorite magazines on your computer, tablet, or smartphone both at home and on the go!
Better yet, you can check out as many issues as you want and keep them for as long as you like – nothing to renew and nothing to return! It’s just like subscribing to the magazine, except that it’s digital and free!
Want to get started? Follow the instructions below and go to the library’s Zinio Collection page!
In order to access Zinio, you will set up two separate accounts: a library Zinio Collection account and a Zinio.com account. These two accounts require the same email address, but you may choose two different passwords if you desire.
Want to read magazines on your desktop computer or laptop without being connected to the Internet? Download Zinio Reader 4 now!

Electronic access to many newspapers and periodicals is available through the library’s research databases. These databases can be accessed through our Online Resources page. You may use these databases at the library or at home by signing in with the barcode on the back of your library card. A good place to start is the Newsbank database, which offers full-text articles from the Chicago Sun-Times going back to 1986 as well as Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, and many other magazines.
North Riverside Library subscribes to over 80 popular magazines and several local and national newspapers. The library keeps current newspapers for one month and back issues of magazines for two years. For a complete list of magazines and newspapers available at the library, click here.
