The library subscribes to seven EBSCO databases. They are:
Consumer Reports where you can find ratings of over 5,000 products.
MasterFile Premier which provides full text for nearly 1,700 general interest periodicals dating back to 1975 (listed in EBSCOhost Research Databases).
Science Reference Center which contains full text for hundreds of science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, and other sources.
NoveList Plus where you can search for reading recommendations, author read-alikes and award winners.
NoveList K-8 Plus for children and teen reading recommendations.
Student Research Center which contains many full text articles on various topics.
Kids Search – Middle & Elementary School where kids can search various topics in books, encyclopedias, biographies, newspapers, photos, maps and flags.
The library also subscribes to Reference USA, Chicago Sun-Times, North Riverside Suburban Life, Opposing Viewpoints, Britannica Online, Grolier Lands and Peoples and Career Cruising (NEW!). (Click on databases below.) You can access all of our databases at the library or at home. Just enter your library barcode.
Reference USA – Contains detailed information on more than 20 million U.S. businesses, 222 million consumers, and 855,000 U.S. health care providers.
Chicago Sun-Times (NewsBank) – Full-text articles from the Chicago Sun-Times going back to 1986 as well as “Newsweek” and other news magazines. Also includes Special Reports and Hot Topics.
North Riverside Suburban Life (NewsBank) - Search local and state issues and community events on topics such as business, health, education, government, politics, sports and more from 2/4/09-Current. Also includes Special Reports and Hot Topics.
Opposing Viewpoints – Covers today’s hottest social issues, from Offshore Drilling to Climate Change, Health Care to Immigration.
Britannica Online - Search the Britannica Reference Center, which includes the Encyclopedia Britannica. There’s also Britannica for Kids.
Grolier Lands and Peoples - Provides information on countries and the various people groups and cultures that inhabit our earth.
Career Cruising - Offers information on job searching, including resume creation and interview preparation, and assists with career development by delivering data regarding hundreds of occupations, colleges and universities, and scholarships.

Medline Plus – Brings together authoritative information from the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health to help answer health questions. It also has extensive information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and the latest health news.
