Museum Adventure Pass Program
Get your pass to adventure! History and culture that excites and inspires, gardens that engage and soothe, hands-on discovery that educates and entertains – all of these and more are waiting for you at over 140 public libraries throughout the Chicago suburbs.
Library cardholders can receive free admission to area museums and cultural institutions as part of the Museum Adventure Pass Program. Each museum is contributing four weekly passes, which permit two or four free admissions, depending on location. Museums with no admission charge offer other services as part of the program.
Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Passes cannot be reserved and no holds can be placed on passes, as they are not listed in the online catalog.
A valid NRPL card is needed to check out passes and passes must be picked up in person at the library. The pass is actually printed out at NRPL and given to the cardholder. It does not have to be returned to the library.
One Museum Adventure Pass may be checked out per family, for a loan period of one week.
Passes are available at the Circulation Desk.
The passes are not transferable and some organizations may ask for a photo ID and a library card for admittance.
For a full listing of participating institutions and for checkout guidelines, go to www.museumadventure.org, or ask the next time you visit the library.
