After School Art Escape

Every Thursday 4:00 – 5:00 pm Starting December 8th

Stop in after school and lose yourself in a craft! For children with adult.

Silly Science ~ NEW DAY!

Every other Monday 4:00 – 5:00 pm  

Dec. 12; Jan. 9, 23; Feb. 6, 20

All the pops, fizzes, and splats! Dress for a mess! All ages; 10 and under with an adult.

 

Calming Crafts for Kids

Every other Friday 4:00 – 5:00 pm 

Dec. 16; Jan. 13, 27; Feb. 10,  24

Worry stones, calm bottles, and more! Come and create different crafts that will leave  you feeling calm and relaxed.  For children with an adult.

 

Lego Club

Every other Friday 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Jan. 6, 20; Feb. 3, 17

Calling all Lego builders.  Let your imagination run wild by building Lego creations.  There will be Lego themed activities every other week.

 

Family Movie Matinees

Select Saturdays at 1:00 pm

  • Dec. 10: Ice Age (2022)
  • Jan. 28: Clifford the Big Red Dog (2020)
  • Feb. 25: Spies in Disguise (2019)

Stop by the library on select Saturdays for movies and snacks. We will be showing family friendly movies rated G or PG. For families or children with an adult.

 

Take and Make Fridays

Every Friday in December, January & February

(Not available on Dec. 23 & Dec. 30)

Stop in on Friday for fun new crafts every week. Available at the youth desk while supplies last.

Limit one per child.

 

Open House

Wednesday, December 7 from 5:00- 8:00 pm

Stop by for cookies & drinks, create cool crafts on machines, have holiday photos upstairs at our fireplace scene and then visit downstairs for a photobooth, and so much more!

 

No Sew Tie Blanket

Friday, December 9 from 4:30 – 5:30 pm

Come one, come all!  The holiday season is coming up; what better way to celebrate than by making a cozy blanket for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.  Stop by for hot chocolate and fun!

All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.  Registration is required!

 

Wrap and Yap!

Saturday, December 17th

  • Session 1: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
  • Session 2: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

Wondering when you’ll find the time to wrap all of those holiday presents?  We’ve got you covered.  Come by the library with your presents, we’ll have the wrapping paper!  Take some time to unwind from that holiday stress, take a seat, and wrap with your neighbors.

Bring the kids too!  The children’s department will be showing a movie for your kids to enjoy while you wrap.

Please note: all children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Family Game Night

Tuesday, January 17 at 3:00 pm

Enjoy a night of popular board games and try some new ones!

In Person Watch Party for Virtual Author Visit: Shannon Hale & LeUyen Pham

Saturday, February 11 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm

Love the graphic novel series Real Friends?  Join us for a virtual author visit with writer Shannon Hale and illustrator LeUyen Pham!  They will talk about their books, answer your questions, and share an engaging activity!  Participate via Zoom or attend a watch party at North Riverside Public Library!

Registration is required.  For children with an adult.
